Leadership
Jay Sellers
Jay was raised in Conway, SC and is a 2001 graduate of Conway High School. Jay is a creative and passionate business owner with more than 20 years of work experience in the construction industry. Jay has a strong knowledge of construction principles and concepts. Jay is a construction manager that is familiar with preparing and negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers and is highly effective at delivering the best methods possible to complete exceptional construction projects for clients.
Tyler Thomas
Tyler has been an integral part of the growth of Sellers General Construction since he joined the firm in 2019. Tyler was raised in Conway, SC and is a 1998 graduate of The Citadel with a BS in Business Administration. As General Manager, Tyler is responsible for many aspects of business operations within the company and many aspects of projects from contract to close out. Tyler actively evaluates prices, recommends trade contractors and suppliers to our site managers, procures needed supplies, and works closely with our site superintendents daily. Tyler also works with project owners to ensure excellent customer service. Prior to joining Sellers General Construction, Tyler was a sales representative and branch manager for Herc Rentals.
Kevin Lovett
Kevin joined our firm as Director of Construction Operations in May 2023. Kevin was raised in Green Sea, SC and is a 1993 graduate of Francis Marion University with a BS in Biology. Kevin also has a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Kevin assists the team with construction management; including planning, organizing, and directing actions to achieve or exceed customer expectations, operational efficiencies, development initiatives, and company objectives. Prior to joining Sellers General Construction, Kevin previously worked in healthcare administration for 28 years. Part of his responsibility in this role was oversite of multi-million dollar healthcare construction projects and renovations.
Gen Sellers
Gen was raised in Conway, SC and is a 2011 graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a B.S.B.A in Accounting. Gen joined Sellers General Construction as the Financial Director in September 2022, bringing over ten years of accounting experience to the organization. Gen is responsible for all administrative and financial operations. Gen strives towards creating a productive and welcoming environment, encouraging all team members to collectively accomplish organization goals. Prior to joining Sellers General Construction, Gen spent two years with Phillip, Currin & Company CPA’s and five years with Nelson Mullin.
